What are wrinkles
Wrinkles are creases, folds, or ridges in the skin. They naturally appear as people get older. The first wrinkles tend to appear on a person’s face in areas where the skin naturally folds during facial expressions. Wrinkles also tend to appear on parts of the body that receive most sun exposure, such as the face and neck, back of the hands, and arms.
What causes wrinkles
Wrinkles are a natural part of the aging process. As people get older, their skin becomes thinner, drier, and less elastic, which means it is less able to protect itself from damage. This leads to wrinkles, creases, and lines on the skin.
Facial expressions, such as smiling, frowning, or squinting, lead to the development of fine lines and wrinkles at a young age. These lines deepen as the person gets older.
When a person is young, their skin springs back. As they get older, the skin loses its flexibility, and it becomes more difficult for the skin to spring back, resulting in permanent grooves.
Botox & Dysport
Botox works by stopping the muscle that it’s injected into from contracting, so it appears relaxed and smooth. Botox is effective at reducing the appearance of wrinkles and preventing new wrinkles from forming
Injectables can’t permanently replace lost fat and proteins, but they can mimic your skin’s original structure. Dermal fillers are known for plumping up, adding volume or fullness, and smoothing your skin.
Laser Genesis stimulates collagen regrowth to reduce wrinkles, pores and smooth out scar tissue. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness.
IPL corrects skin tone and imperfections such as sun damage, redness or discolouration around your face, neck and décolletage with one to three treatments (depending on sun-damage). A Limelight IPL treatment will even out skin complexion by reducing redness, telangiectasia (tiny veins), and hyperpigmentation.
Chemical peels improve the appearance of aging skin by using a chemical solution to remove the outer layer of old skin. The new skin that replaces it is usually smoother and less wrinkled in appearance.
