PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)

What is PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) or Vampire Facelift is an incredibly effective tissue treatment that works using a small vial of the patient’s blood. Since blood is composed of red cells, white cells, and platelets, the platelets get isolated for plasma collection.

Platelets contain a concentration of plasma and productive growth factors that help stimulate new, and healthy tissue growth. Also, because the treatment uses your blood, there is virtually no risk that you will experience an allergic reaction.

When injected into specific areas of the skin, it promotes collagen growth, regenerates tissue, and thus acts to naturally smooth and tighten the skin. In this way, PRP softens wrinkles and creates a smoother skin texture and tone.

Who uses PRP?

PRP can be used for treatment of aesthetic concerns in anyone over 18. Because we are using your own blood to achieve results, it is very safe and effective for the majority of people

Where do you use PRP?

PRP for aesthetic purposes is applied superficially depending on the results desired. Applied to the scalp, in aid in thickening hair follicles to produce a fuller, more luxurious mane. When it is applied to the face, neck and décolleté, it helps improve the quality of skin, giving a brighter even tone.

Is it painful?

You may feel a small pinch when we draw blood form your arm. To apply the PP where needed we use a mechanical applicator with a tiny needle. This allows use to inject the PRP in the most comfortable manner possible.

How long does it take to work?

PRP is naturally stimulating your cell regeneration. This can take 2-4 weeks. You may also need multiple treatments depending on your desired outcome.

How much will the treatment cost?

This will depend on the type of treatment that you prefer. You should book a consultation with us to ensure you have the best treatment plan possible.
